Lord Dolar Popat is a British businessman, politician, and member of the House of Lords who has served as a Conservative Life Peer since 2010, when he was ennobled by Prime Minister David Cameron.

Throughout his career in the House of Lords, Lord Popat has held several government positions, including serving as a Government Whip and Lord-in-Waiting to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. He was also appointed as the Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Rwanda and Uganda, leveraging his cultural background and business expertise to strengthen UK trade relationships with East Africa. His parliamentary work has focused particularly on promoting UK-Africa trade relations, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and encouraging entrepreneurship within Britain's diverse communities.

Before entering politics, Lord Popat built a successful business career, founding and developing TLC Group, a healthcare and hospitality company that grew into a multi-million-pound enterprise.
