With local elections now only a month away, our campaign activity is gathering real momentum across the country. Conservative Friends of India has been proud to support a wide range of campaign sessions in recent weeks, working alongside dedicated candidates and volunteers to engage directly with voters and champion the values we share. In the sections that follow, we reflect on some of these fantastic efforts, and look ahead to the upcoming opportunities for you to get involved and make a real difference on the ground.

Please do continue to tag us on social media as you campaign. Use @conservativefriendsofindia with #CFIndiaCampaigns and we will make sure to repost on our accounts!

Birmingham with Matt Vickers MP

We were thrilled to see Stockton MP and the Conservative Party's Deputy Chairman Matt Vickers out and about with our CFIndia Ambassador Jigar Bhagalia in the West Midlands recently.

The team headed to the Harborne ward in Birmingham, supporting the local candidates Hugo Rasenberg and Amaar Shahzada on the doorstep. Together, they engaged with residents across the area, discussing the issues that matter most to the community and sharing the positive Conservative vision for local leadership.

As part of the session, the Party’s Deputy Chairman worked closely with activists to speak with as many residents as possible ahead of the upcoming elections, reinforcing the importance of strong local representation and community engagement. It was an energetic and productive day, with meaningful conversations with residents and a clear sense of momentum on the ground.

Ambassador Hari Om in Leicestershire

Ambassador Hari Om visited Narborough and Whetstone to support the Conservative campaign ahead of the upcoming Leicestershire County Council election and the by-election on Thursday, 16 April. Representing the East Midlands region, he engaged directly with local residents and supported campaign activities on the ground.

Hari joined candidate Les Phillimore in door-to-door canvassing, delivering campaign literature, and gathering feedback on the issues that matter most to the community. The response from residents was very positive, with many welcoming the opportunity to discuss their priorities and learn more about plans for strong local representation.

Milton Keynes with Richard Fuller MP

CF India Ambassador Pinder Chauhan was joined by Richard Fuller MP, Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, on the campaign trail in Milton Keynes. The focus was on meeting residents directly, hearing their concerns and promoting local Conservative candidates as they prepared for the elections.

The day included conversations on local issues, from services in the community to the impact of national policy locally, giving residents the chance to discuss their priorities. It was a practical, hands-on campaign day with lots of resident interaction, demonstrating the commitment of the team to connect with the community and support strong local representation. A fantastic example of how CFIndia campaigning can be successful.

Upcoming Action Day in Hayes

Our ambassador Naeha Menon will be holding an action day in Hayes, West London on Sunday 12th April. Beginning at 11am at Barra Hall Park, it is another great opportunity to get out into the community and communicate the benefits of strong Conservative leadership.
