May has been a very busy month for us and for the whole Conservative Party. We want to thank you all, once again, for your support and commitment throughout the election period. We saw some fantastic campaigns made possible by the help of volunteers and supporters across the country.
You will be seeing lots of success stories on our social medias over the next few weeks, but we just want to highlight particularly the amazing work that was done in Harrow, Hillingdon and Westminster. These were all CFIndia target wards, and we are delighted that they stand today as Conservative Councils. That is because of the dedication of our members and those in the local associations, so thank you!
Aside from campaigning, we have been busy planning for the summer period. We are pleased to announce several events over the next few months, including a session with Shivani Raja MP on her political journey.
My Political Journey Session with Shivani Raja MP
We are excited for the first in our new series of 'My Political Journey' sessions with Shivani Raja, Member of Parliament for Leicester East, which will be held online on Monday 22nd June, 6pm-7pm.
Shivani is a proud first-generation British citizen whose parents came to Leicester from Kenya and India. After growing up and completing her education in Leicester, she moved to London to further her professional career before returning to serve the city she has always called home.
In the 2024 General Election, Shivani made political history as the only Conservative gain, ending Labour’s 37-year hold on Leicester East. She now serves as the youngest Conservative MP in Parliament and enjoys her brief as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Shadow Minister for Equalities.
Despite her growing national profile, Shivani’s focus remains firmly on Leicester East and ensuring the city receives the investment and attention it deserves. Leicester is renowned for its entrepreneurial spirit, vibrant communities and rich cultural heritage - values that Shivani proudly champions both locally and nationally.
During this exclusive session, Shivani will share insights into campaigning, political communication, leadership, and community engagement, as well as her experience winning one of the most significant Conservative victories of the 2024 General Election.

Event with Ambassador Naeha
Our Ambassador Naeha will be hosting an exclusive event on Wednesday 17th June in Hatch End, North-West London. Wiltshire and Swindon Branch Event
We are also pleased to be promoting a partnership event with Wiltshire and Swindon Conservatives on Friday 17th July. The evening promises excellent food and high-level networking opportunities, featuring our Patron MP and Honorary Vice Chair Gagan Mohindra.
