Our grassroots presence is expanding faster than ever, and we are delighted to introduce eight new CFI Ambassadors who will be championing our efforts further across the country, including into Wales and the North of England. This nationwide momentum builds on the incredible energy of our recent local gatherings, including our fantastic Swindon Curry Night, where over seventy members and supporters joined us.
Looking ahead, we are gearing up for our upcoming Community Cricket Cup day in Leicester in partnership with Shivani Raja MP, and we are really looking forward to an online session with Nusrat Ghani MP, where she will share some insights from her political career. Those of you who know Nus will know this will be a brilliant session. On top of all this, we are pleased to offer an exclusive membership discount in this issue as a thank-you for your continued support.

New Ambassadors
We are delighted to welcome a new intake to our Ambassador programme. We received a high volume of outstanding applicants, and we are very grateful to all those who took time to invest in the process.
This comes at an exciting time for CFIndia, as we expand into Wales and further into the North of England. We look forward to working with our Ambassadors in these new areas and can't wait to see how they engage and connect with their local communities.

Swindon and Wiltshire Association Event
We were honoured to join members and friends from across Swindon and Wiltshire a few weeks ago at their curry night event, excellently organised by Dr Monica Devendran. Over 70 people came together for delicious food and great conversation, as we celebrated the recent local election successes in those communities.
We also thank our Honorary Vice Chair Gagan Mohindra MP for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak at this event. He inspired us with his words of wisdom and also graciously dedicated time to answering questions from across the room. These ranged from policy discussions to top campaigning tips, and it was greatly appreciated by all in attendance.
Leicester Cricket Event
We are excited to be working in partnership with Shivani Raja, Member of Parliament for Leicester East, to hold a Community Cricket Cup event at Rushey Field Recreation Ground in Leicester on August Bank Holiday Monday, 31st August.
Everybody will have the opportunity to join in with a game of cricket and enjoy the wide range of food and beverage stalls over the course of the day from 10am-6pm. There will also be a charity raffle held, with prizes celebrating Leicester's excellent entrepreneurs and small businesses.
This event provides an important chance for us to engage with the community in Leicester, and so we do hope to see as many members, families and friends in attendance!
My Political Journey with Nusrat Ghani
We are also pleased to publicise the second session of our 'My Political Journey' series, which will be held on Tuesday 15th September from 6pm-7pm on Microsoft Teams.
We are delighted that Senior Deputy Speaker and the Chairman of Ways and Means Nusrat Ghani MP will be our special guest for this session. Nusrat is the Member of Parliament for Sussex Weald, and as the first female to represent this constituency has been a great advocate both for women and for the British Indian community in Parliament.
We thank Nusrat for giving her time so generously to join us for this session, and do hope that our members will take advantage of this opportunity to learn from somebody operating at the top of politics.
