On Thursday September 13th, an audience of community leaders, worshippers, and community members of all ages gathered at the Shri Ram Mandir in Birmingham to attend Conservative Friends of India's inaugural Community Forum.
The audience were addressed by Lord Popat of Harrow and Asheem Singh, Director of Conservative Friends of India. They also listened to speeches by Prime Minister David Cameron, Conservative Party Co-Chairman Lord Feldman and Attorney General and Conservative Friends of India President Dominic Grieve QC. A lively and informative question and answer session highlighted the enthusiasm on the ground for Conservative Friends of India's work and its mission to build lasting and meaningful links between the Conservative Party, the British Indian Community and India. Conservative Friends of India would like to thank the Hindu Council of Birmingham and the Shree Ram Mandir who graciously organised and hosted the event.
